Article Submissions

We invite all women to share their stories! Here’s the scoop on what you need to know to submit an article:

Articles should be 1,500 words or less and can be about any topic (e.g. personal stories, poetry, tips, etc.)
Articles should be first time published (cannot be previously published in formal publications, online, or personal blogs)
Anonymous submissions, use of pen names, or use of initials are acceptable, though we do not guarantee anonymity
After your article has been submitted, you will be contacted with the date it will be published, the date it will be shared on our social media pages, a copy of the cover photo that has been selected to go with your article, and suggestions for light editing (if needed).
While Little Red Bird Press intends to publish all articles that have been submitted, we do reserve the right to decline publication at our discretion.

Name (required). Please specify in the author bio section if you prefer to be published anonymously, under a pen name, or using initials.

Email (required).

Article Title (required).

Article Upload (required).

File Type must be .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf and .txt and up to 20MB in size

Article Category (required). Red birds are a symbol of endurance, passion, and strength, therefore, Little Red Bird Press categorizes each article into one of those sections. Please select the one that is most applicable to your submission.

Author Bio. Submit a 2-3 sentence bio and include any social media handles, personal websites, or contact information you'd like published with your article (reference current articles as examples). Please note in this section if you choose to be published anonymously, under a pen name, or using initials. If you do not provide a bio and do not request to be published anonymously, under a pen name, or using initials -- we will proceed with publishing your article and will simply list your name as noted in the "Name" section above as the author.

Contributor/Publisher Agreement.

By acknowledging this agreement, you agree to the terms outlined below:

The content you are submitting for publication with Little Red Bird Press LLC has not previously been published in any other formal or informal publication(s), including but not limited to: books, magazines, personal websites, blogs, and other forms of social media.

You are the creator of the content you are submitting and take responsibility that all language, photos, and supplemental information submitted avoid plagiarism of any kind. You agree to provide appropriate citations within your submission(s) for any quotes, phrases, statistics, or information otherwise borrowed from external sources.

Ownership of the copyright of content submitted to Little Red Bird Press LLC will remain with you, the submitter/creator, but through this agreement you acknowledge that by submitting content to Little Red Bird Press LLC you are granting permission for your content to be shared via www.littleredbirdpress.com, Little Red Bird Press LLC social media platforms, and any additional press/media forums/distribution channels where Little Red Bird Press LLC may appear.

Little Red Bird Press LLC will honor requests to publish content “anonymously,” under pen names, or using submitters’ initials if specified within your submission, but they do not guarantee anonymity and do not take responsibility for any harm related to the disclosure of your identity.

While Little Red Bird Press LLC aims to provide a forum that represents a diverse set of opinions, experiences, and stories, the content published by Little Red Bird Press LLC expresses the views and opinions of the authors/submitters and does not necessarily reflect the opinions or positions of the owner(s) or those otherwise associated with Little Red Bird Press LLC.

Little Red Bird Press LLC may publish without restriction similar or opposing content to yours at any given time. You acknowledge that Little Red Bird Press LLC is not responsible under this agreement or any law for the public opinion, reader comments, outcomes, or harm that may result in conflicting content or conflicting opinion of submitters or readers.

Little Red Bird Press LLC will make every effort to represent diverse content and opinions but reserve the right to decline publication of your content at their discretion and/or remove content formerly published by Little Red Bird Press LLC at any time.
